Costa Blanca - A coastal area in the south-eastern section of Spain, completely within the Alicante province of the Comunidad de Valencia, the Costa Blanca (White Coast) stretches for around 250 km and it has around seventy four sandy beaches. The region draws in many millions of visitors every year and features several well loved coastal resorts such as Santa Pola, Benidorm and Moraira. There are just two cities on the Costa Blanca, Elche and Alicante. The name literally means "White Coast", it was first used in the late 1950's.
