Suffolk Overview - To be found to the north-east of Greater london, the county of Suffolk is in the area of England generally known as East Anglia. The county of Suffolk incorporates a land area of 1,466 square mls and a population of approximately seven hundred and thirty thousand. During the period 1889-1974 Suffolk was separated into 2 administrative counties, West Suffolk and East Suffolk.
