Suffolk Overview - Located to the north-east of London, the rural county of Suffolk is in the region of The UK generally known as East Anglia. Suffolk incorporates an area of 1,466 sq mls plus a population of roughly 730,000. The county is bounded by the neighbouring counties of Cambridgeshire, Essex and Norfolk, the county town is Ipswich, whilst additional major towns are Bury St Edmunds, Felixstowe, Newmarket, Stowmarket and Lowestoft.
