Suffolk Review - Located to the north-east of Greater london, the rural county of Suffolk is in the region of England generally known as East Anglia. Suffolk has an area of 1,466 square mls plus a population of around 0.73 million. The county is bounded by the neighbouring counties of Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Essex, Ipswich is the capital town, while other vital towns include Lowestoft, Newmarket, Felixstowe, Stowmarket and Bury Saint Edmunds. Suffolk is mostly flat and low-lying, in the northern part of the county you can find wetland areas that are part of The Broads. From 1889-1974 the county of Suffolk was split into two administrative counties, East Suffolk and West Suffolk.
