Suffolk Overview - Situated to the north-east of Greater london, the rural county of Suffolk is part of the region of The UK generally known as East Anglia. Suffolk incorporates an area of 1,466 sq mls and a population of roughly 0.73 million. From 1889-1974 Suffolk was separated into two administrative counties, West Suffolk and East Suffolk.
