Suffolk England - Located to the north-east of The city of London, the county of Suffolk is within the region of England known as East Anglia. Suffolk has a land area of 1,466 square mls and has a population of about 0.73 million. The county is bounded by the neighbouring counties of Norfolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire, Ipswich is the major town, whilst additional major towns include Lowestoft, Felixstowe, Newmarket, Stowmarket and Bury Saint Edmunds. The county is largely flat and low-lying, in the northern part of the county you can find wetland areas which are within The Broads. From 1889-1974 the county of Suffolk was split into 2 administrative counties, East Suffolk and West Suffolk.
