Costa Blanca Overview - A coastal area in the south-east of Spain, completely within the province of Alicante in the Comunidad de Valencia, the Costa Blanca (White Coast) extends for 250 km and it has around seventy four beaches. The region attracts a large number of visitors every year and features some renowned coastal resorts for instance Benidorm, Denia and Santa Pola. There are actually two cities on the Costa Blanca, Alicante and Elche (Elx). The name means "White Coast", which was first used in the late 1950's.
