Costa Blanca - A coastal region located in the south-east of Spain, completely in the province of Alicante in the Valencia region, the Costa Blanca extends for around 244 kilometres and features approximately seventy four beaches. The region draws in a large number of visitors each year and contains some well loved seaside resorts such as Javea, Moraira and Benidorm. There are just two cities on the Costa Blanca, Alicante and Elche (Elx). The name literally means "White Coast", which was first used in the late 1950's.
