Suffolk Review - Established to the north-east of London, the rural county of Suffolk is within the area of The United Kingdom called East Anglia. The county incorporates an area of 1,466 square mls plus a population of about seven hundred and thirty thousand. The county is bounded by the counties of Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Essex, the major town is Ipswich, whilst other important towns are Lowestoft, Felixstowe, Newmarket, Stowmarket and Bury Saint Edmunds. Suffolk is for the most part low-lying and flat, you can find wetland areas in the northern part of the county that are within The Broads National Park. During the period 1889-1974 the county was divided into two administrative counties, East Suffolk and West Suffolk.
