Suffolk England - Found to the north-east of The city of London, the county of Suffolk is in the area of Great Britain called East Anglia. The county of Suffolk has an area of 1,466 square miles along with a population of roughly 730,000. The county touches the neighbouring counties of Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Essex, the county town is Ipswich, whilst other significant towns are Lowestoft, Newmarket, Stowmarket, Felixstowe and Bury Saint Edmunds. The county of Suffolk is for the most part low-lying and flat, there are wetland areas in the northern part of the county which are part of The Broads National Park. During the period 1889-1974 the county of Suffolk was separated into 2 administrative counties, West Suffolk and East Suffolk.
