Suffolk Review - Located to the north-east of London, the rural county of Suffolk is in the region of England referred to as East Anglia. The county of Suffolk incorporates a land area of 1,466 square mls plus a population of around 730,000. The county is bordered by the counties of Essex, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire, Ipswich is the county town, whilst other significant towns are Bury St Edmunds, Newmarket, Felixstowe, Stowmarket and Lowestoft. From 1889-1974 Suffolk was separated into two administrative counties, East Suffolk and West Suffolk.
