Suffolk - Placed to the north-east of Greater london, the county of Suffolk is part of the area of The United Kingdom known as East Anglia. The county incorporates a land area of 1,466 sq miles plus a population of roughly seven hundred and thirty thousand. Suffolk is bounded by the counties of Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex, the capital town is Ipswich, and other vital towns are Bury Saint Edmunds, Felixstowe, Newmarket, Stowmarket and Lowestoft. From 1889-1974 the county was divided into 2 administrative counties, West Suffolk and East Suffolk.
