Suffolk Review - Situated to the north-east of London, the rural county of Suffolk is within the area of England known as East Anglia. The county has a land area of 1,466 square mls along with a population of approximately 0.73 million. Suffolk touches the neighbouring counties of Cambridgeshire, Essex and Norfolk, Ipswich is the major town, and additional important towns are Bury Saint Edmunds, Newmarket, Stowmarket, Felixstowe and Lowestoft. From 1889-1974 the county was separated into 2 administrative counties, West Suffolk and East Suffolk.
