Suffolk Overview - Set to the north-east of The city of London, the county of Suffolk is in the region of Great Britain referred to as East Anglia. Suffolk has an area of 1,466 square miles and has a population of around 0.73 million. The county borders the counties of Cambridgeshire, Essex and Norfolk, Ipswich is the capital town, whilst additional vital towns are Lowestoft, Felixstowe, Stowmarket, Newmarket and Bury Saint Edmunds. Suffolk is mostly flat and low-lying, you'll find wetland areas in the northern part of the county that are part of The Broads.
