Suffolk England - Set to the north-east of London, the county of Suffolk is part of the area of The UK known as East Anglia. The county of Suffolk incorporates an area of 1,466 sq miles plus a population of roughly seven hundred and thirty thousand. The county is bordered by the neighbouring counties of Norfolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire, the capital town is Ipswich, whilst additional significant towns include Bury Saint Edmunds, Newmarket, Stowmarket, Felixstowe and Lowestoft. Suffolk is primarily low-lying and flat, in the northern part of the county there are wetland areas that are within The Broads National Park. From 1889-1974 Suffolk was separated into two administrative counties, West Suffolk and East Suffolk.
