Suffolk Review - Placed to the north-east of The city of London, the county of Suffolk is within the region of The United Kingdom referred to as East Anglia. The county of Suffolk has a land area of 1,466 sq mls and a population of roughly 0.73 million. The county borders the neighbouring counties of Essex, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire, the capital town is Ipswich, whilst additional significant towns are Lowestoft, Felixstowe, Stowmarket, Newmarket and Bury Saint Edmunds. The county of Suffolk is generally flat and low-lying, there are wetland areas in the north of the county that are part of The Broads National Park. From 1889-1974 Suffolk was split into two administrative counties, East Suffolk and West Suffolk.
